Propane Torch
 

Don't forget the propane torch.

I had a flat tire this weekend and it took me 18 hours to change a tire because the cold weather locked my lugnuts up and I destroyed 1 tire iron and two ratchets before I got a blow torch on the scene to heat up the metal and shrink it out of lockout,,Luckily It happened in front of my sisters house with three other cars in the driveway, I'll be keeping one in the trunk from now on...

4 ft. X1.25" breaker bar pipe...for leverage

10,000 lb floor jack - makes it easy

You can avoid the drama by installing all of your lugnuts with a small dab of never-seize ( also called antiseize) on each stud. nothing wrong with packing along a propane torch and breaker bar/ 4 foot cheater of course, if you have the space. For the wife's vehicle, anti seize may be the more practical solution.

I like propane, MAPP and acetylene - they've all come in handy when I needed them - but be careful - have respect for compressed flammable gases. I'm not so sure your trunk is a good place to store propane.

slightly off topic--does anyone have a link for a good gold melting set up (torch, way to get rid of non-gold metal from melt, etc.) I like the idea of buying junk gold to melt down...might be as much fun or more than collecting coins.
